Our 3 Key Highlights at Channel Live
Our 3 Key Highlights at Channel Live
Channel Live has always been one of the most anticipated events in the channel calendar. After an unexpected three-year break, due to the pandemic, it was so great to have the event back in full swing ready to discuss the hot topics in the channel.
Our friendly team of experts were on stand 338 over the two days, catching up with Partners and talking through our exciting updates. If you didn’t make the event, don’t worry, we’ve put together our three key highlights at Channel Live in our blog below:
Reconnecting with the channel
As always, Channel Live is a great opportunity to meet with our Partners, create new connections and engage in thought provoking conversation.
Our Partners were able to book drop-in sessions in beforehand with our experts from Operations, Product, Sales and more, which meant we had some fantastic conversations about the exciting things we’re up to and what they can expect to see from us this year. We always look forward to working with our Partners and discuss how we can grow better together.
The changes in the industry
The rapid shift to remote work due to the pandemic likely means some of the changes that have taken place will be a part of the new norm as we move on, which is not a bad thing. A study we carried out revealed that more than half (58%) of workers in the UK said they had been more productive as a result of working from home, and business leaders agree, with saying working remotely had made their teams more productive.
Covid-19 has certainly accelerated the transition from copper to fibre. We are going through a period of significant change. The need for fast, reliable connectivity is more important now than ever before and the recent situation has only strengthened our mission is to deliver affordable, reliable, simple and fair connectivity for everyone. There were some fantastic panels which delved into thoughts on the changes and challenges that we have in the channel.
A full fibre future
As expected, one of the hot topics at Channel Live 2022 was the transition to fibre to the premise (FTTP). FTTP presents an opportunity to provide strong and reliable connectivity to the market. Covid-19 has reinforced the need for channel partners to start capitalising on the opportunity to provide fibre connectivity products, especially with the 2025 switch-off around the corner.
It was great to discuss our plans and roadmap with Partners, and how we want to continue to work together on this journey to a full fibre future. We've been working so much closer with Partners to sell with, run campaigns together, optimise up-sell opportunities and better unlock geographic capability as the footprint unfolds.
We’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks to everyone for stopping by and making this year’s show one to remember!
